August 2014 – ISO 14001 standard open for consultation

Public consultation is now open on the revised version of the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. This follows the recent approval of the revised text as a draft international standard.

The review of ISO 14001 is being coordinated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The consultation stage is the fourth in a six-stage process. Anyone having expertise or experience can submit feedback to the technical committee revising the standard. Contributions are submitted through ISO member bodies, which for Malta is the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA).

Consultation is open until 31 October 2014, and the revised standard is expected to be adopted in 2015.
