En-Sure offsets its carbon emissions

En-Sure recently offset its calculated carbon emissions for 2016 by making a donation to Pure Leapfrog. Pure Leapfrog is a UK-based charity that funds carbon-reducing projects all round the globe. This initiative was taken as part of En-Sure’s Environmental Management System, which in 2016 achieved ISO 14001 certification.

Rachel Xuereb, Director at En-Sure said, “This is one of the many ways in which En-Sure demonstrates its commitment to environmental protection. In addition to our service helping clients reduce their environmental impacts, we also take care to ensure that the impacts of our work are minimised.”

En-Sure’s carbon calculation takes into account the emissions generated by staff commute, site-based travel, and utilities consumption at the office.

Other notable environmental achievements in 2016 included sending over 75% of office waste for recycling or recovery, reducing electricity consumption, implementing a green procurement procedure, and supporting our professional staff in achieving membership of professional associations.
