European C&D Waste Protocol published

The European Commission recently published a Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Protocol. The Protocol sets out non-binding guidelines on the proper management of C&D waste, and aims to improve confidence in the C&D waste management process, and trust in the quality of recycled materials from this industry.

The Protocol is based on independent research and was drafted with input from industry and EU Member States. It aims to be a practical support tool for practitioners in the construction industry, regulators, and others.
