Environmental Monitoring during construction works at the SAWTP
The aim of the monitoring exercise was to supervise the demolition and construction works at the Sant’Antnin Waste Treatment Facility (SAWTP). En-Sure Ltd was responsible for monitoring the environmental aspects (such as atmospheric emissions, waste management, state of roads, and traffic management).
The objective of the monitoring is to ensure that work on site proceeds according to the approved development permit conditions, the Construction Management Plan, the Environment Permit conditions, the Transport Management Plan and other construction and environmental management measures.
Several site inspections were carried out during each week of the contract period after which a report was compiled and sent to MEPA. The reports comprised a site activity description, observations and photos. Any contravening activities were identified and highlighted.
