Project Title: Environmental registration for food manufacturing plant
Start / Finish Dates: April – June 2015
En-Sure recently assisted a food manufacturing company with its environmental registration application to MEPA. The company specialises in typical Maltese and Mediterranean delicacies, including ħelwa tat-tork, bigilla and sun-dried tomatoes. The firm intends to relocate its factory from a residential area in Haz-Zebbug to Tal-Handaq, enabling it to improve its operations and allow for future potential expansion.
Following the approval of the construction of the project by the MEPA Board in March 2015, MEPA requested the submission of an Environmental Registration application to cover the operation of the new plant. En-Sure prepared an Environmental Registration application on behalf of the client and liaised with MEPA’s Environmental Permitting and Industry Unit in the submission of the further information requested. The Environmental Registration will be issued once the new premises are built.
