En-Sure Ltd was engaged to support an existing waste management facility in the final stages of the compilation of its IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) application. The facility is regulated under Legal Notice 10 of 2013, the Industrial Emissions (IPPC) Regulations.

En-Sure assisted the client by conducting a detailed comparison of the facility’s operations against two Best Available Technique reference documents, known as BREFs, which are published by the European Commission. This assessment was conducted against the BREF for Waste Treatments Industries and that for Emissions from Storage.

En-Sure also supported the client by documenting the waste management procedures in place for the various European Waste Catalogue (EWC) codes accepted at the facility. This included identifying applicable treatment and storage methods, as well as the final destination of the waste.
