ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Course

During the last week of January Mr Titian Schembri, a Lead Environmental Monitor and Project Manager working with En-Sure Ltd, successfully completed a training course to become a ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor.

The aim of this course was to provide attendees with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of environment management systems against the ISO 14001:2015 standard, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021 (as applicable).

Held over 5 days, the course first explained Environmental Management Systems and related concepts and discussed the latest ISO 14001 Standard and how to audit against it, and then provided in depth training on planning and conducting audit programmes and related skills. The course, organised by Tuning Fork and SAI Global, is certified by the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA). IRCA is the leading professional body for management system auditors and represents over 10,000 registered auditors in 150 countries.
