The aim of the monitoring exercise is to ensure that the surrounding water, and in particular, the seabed, are not adversely affected by the hydro-demolition works. The monitoring is designed to ensure that the surrounding Seagrass Posidonia meadows and algal biotic communities are regularly assessed to analyse any detectable changes arising from the works. The monitoring team also advises the project management team on best practice methods by means of frequent meetings and toolbox talks.
