The facility, in Marsa Industrial Estate, operates under an Environmental Permit from MEPA. Since the plant uses solvents, the Environmental Permit requires the firm to monitor air emissions at yearly intervals, and to calculate the total mass emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from the plant.

En-Sure was engaged to prepare a Method Statement, carry out monitoring and calculate the total mass emissions of the plant. The results were then compared against the limit values in the Environmental Permit. En-Sure also advised the operator on mitigation measures to reduce emissions further.
