En-Sure was engaged to prepare an occupational health and safety risk assessment for the collection and removal of the ex-Qajjenza gas bottling plant buoys and underwater mooring from Marsaxlokk Bay.

Information was gathered from various parties involved in the works, in order to be able to compile a risk assessment report for this project. The risk assessment covered the following activities:

• Diving operations;
• Lifting procedures;
• Dismantling procedures; and
• Transporting procedures (land and sea).

The report was then presented to the client together with recommendations for control measures.
