En-Sure prepared a Waste Management Plan, in line with the requirements of the Malta Environment & Planning Authority (MEPA), which addressed the waste that will be generated from the demolition of an existing disused farm and the construction and operation of a storage facility with ancillary facilities in Hal Ghaxaq. The facility aims to provide a space for the storage of various types of marine oils and lubricants, and for the storage of marine parts.

En-Sure initially conducted an inspection to identify the wastes that will be generated during site clearance, and guided the client in relation to the safe disposal of asbestos-containing construction waste.

The Waste Management Plan identified the wastes to be generated during the various phases of construction and operation, as well as the permitted facilities that will receive the waste. Wastes will be directed for recycling, rather than disposal, wherever possible. The Plan also described the arrangements that will be in place to avoid contamination of rainwater and ensure that any spills are treated.
