September 2014 – ECHA publishes Safety Data Sheet guide

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published a guide on safety data sheets called “Safety data sheets and exposure scenarios: Advice for recipients“.

Safety data sheets are documents aimed at helping support the safe use of chemicals. Amongst others, they provide information on the composition of a substance or mixture, the associated properties and hazards, and what to do in case of an accident.

The guide is intended to help chemical users find and interpret information in safety data sheets. It is available from the ECHA website.
