Green Travel Plan funds awarded

Adi Associates and En-sure are pleased to announce the award of a €10,000 grant from the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects to implement a Green Travel Plan (GTP) for their offices over a 2 year period entitled Take a Ride on the Green Side. The goal of the GTP is to reduce the carbon footprint of the two companies and positively contribute to the traffic situation in Malta by using alternative modes of transport … thereby practicing what we preach!

Malta’s Leading Environmental Consultancies Team Up for a Coastal Clean-up

Last Friday, staff from three leading Maltese environmental consultancy firms – Adi Associates, En-Sure Limited, and Ecoserv – joined forces to pick up litter around the Marfa coast.

The team spent the morning clearing the coastal area between the historic Wied Musa Battery (also known as Il-Palazz l-Ahmar) and the Cirkewwa Bay of accumulated waste. They collected a range of wastes – including fragments of polystyrene (jablo), masks, wet wipes, ceramic, rusted metal, wood, and recyclable materials including plastic and glass. The team also collected bulky waste such as tyres, plastic pipes, steel bars, as well as three asbestos cement pipes. Read more..

ERA launches BELLUS fund for Environmental Projects

The Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) recently launched a €500,000 fund for environmental projects. The fund, called BELLUS – Better Environment in our Local Urban Spaces – aims to bring nature back to urban, rural and maritime areas in Malta through green initiatives and nature-based solutions.

En-Sure Consultant Achieves Soil and Groundwater Risk Assessment Certification

Rachel Decelis, Senior Environmental Consultant at En-Sure, recently completed a training course on soil and groundwater risk assessment.

The course was organised by CL:AIRE (Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments), an independent UK organisation specialised on sustainable land reuse.  The topics covered included the processes involved in carrying out a risk assessment, including preparing a conceptual site model, Tier 1 and Tier 2 assessments, risk evaluation, risk management strategies, and verification of risk reduction.
